Northern Virginia Auto Body has a great reputation
for quality work, which explains why they are so busy
these days. |
The back side of the building is over 100 feet long and is mostly hidden by a fence. |
Here's a
view of the ingenious scaffold we set up. A scaffold was set up on the back side of the fence. We took off fence boards to allow outriggers to poke through. Now we can walk the whole length of the wall with nothing in the way. |
The back
side of the fence showing the scaffold. The fence is covered with lightweight plastic to save clean up. \Sorry the pictures are so bad. I hope you can figure out what is going on. |
Flashing is put on first
for the metal canopies. This allowed us to proceed with the stucco while waiting for the canopies. |
Metal
canopies are later put on the finished wall. |

Lines are created using expansion joints. The blocks are first wet down with a hose. |
Blocks are filled and rodded off between the
expansion joints. |
A view of the horizontal lines. This was a big job for us and it hit right during a moment of need. The truth is, I never was going to publish about this job because of the synthetic finish. We have another building to do for the same owner once Fairfax City approves the permit. Please check back. |
