Medallions were cast from a glass salad bowl.
Material is white portland and sand, one left plain and the other colored with La Habra stucco color.
The two colors of medallions add a random effect, like a Spanish mission. The rest of the old concrete porch is then finished to match the house.
This is my signature on this house.
If you have read my last updates, you'll see I
have left signatures all over the Washington area.
white portland and sand and colored rich embedded color
The house is finished with white portland and sand and colored with "Southern Moss", from La Habra Stucco in California. We mixed the color one third strength to lighten it up. Mottling and color variations show off the integral color cement. The result is a rich embedded color that isn't duplicable with the fake stuff they put on shopping centers and new houses.
