Old brick is a hodge podge of patches and is a good candidate for stucco. Stucco will be be applied on metal lath on the new addition, and directly to the old brick on the old house. However, plenty of flex-con is used here in the mortar to assure a permanent bond

Round edge finish mortar
Round edge is made by using a one by two on the corner and filling in. One by pulled off before applying the finish.
Corner was filled in and rounded off using finish mortar.
