Entrance to these offices looked kinda shabby with torn up EIFS. |
Typical of areas with high traffic (or low traffic)
is beat up flimsy foam. |
The EIFS is
stripped off and replaced with inch thick cement mortar. Picture shows strips at the top, that is the top is formed and filled. |
The finish
coat we put on was white, and later painted to match. My dog is inspecting the work. |
This EIFS was in terrible
shape by the parking lot. |
The concrete
is chipped up prior to stucco application with a chipping
hammer to assure a good bond. |

A view of the brown coat shows where the wall was filled out with solid cement mortar over 2 inches thick to match the thickness. The EIFS is put in bags to haul away without blowing all over the place. |
After a finish coat, and the wall is painted to match, we have a decent product that will last for years, maybe centuries. If a car bumps my wall, it will do more damage to the car than the wall. |
Trucks bumped into the wall next to the grocery store. The EIFS here was stuck back on with orange spray foam. |
There were several birds nests in the
wall. These nests were from starlings which is unusual. Most of the nests we find are from sparrows. |
We rebuilt the bands with metal lath and super hard cement mortar. If a truck bumps into this wall, they will know it. |
