I get calls all the time to repair work like this. I tell people I have to
tear it all off and start over.
Stucco repaired and re coated in Great Falls, Virginia
Here's how we did it:
The wing we recoated had the original color stucco.
Note the window wall.
Window wall rescued.
Windows never had flashing.
Stucco cut off and flashing is put on over windows.
Rot caused by lack of a kick out flashing at the roof line.
We put in a kick out flashing.
Ugly expansion joints ripped out.
You don't see expansion joints on houses in California.
Gaps from flashing installation, expansion joints, etc. are filled with lath and mortar with flexcon for strength.
I used paint tint from Sherwin-Williams to color the cement finish mortar.
