What a cool house. Circa 1981 stucco house
has a new addition. |
Brown coat on curved walls. |
|
|
Finish coat is sprayed on with a hopper gun,
to match the existing house.
This provides a very crack resistent finish. |
A column divides the new addition from the
old. This "join" tends to show real bad, because
the new almost never matches. The column
breaks up the wall so the join doen't show. |

|
Finish coat is white portland cement and
number 2 (medium) Q-rok, or crushed quartz.
I can't find this graded sand anywhere in the
Washington area anymore. I had to go to
Hagerstown, Maryland to buy it. Everybody
tells me, no one does stucco anymore. |
Left (new) Right (old).
Finish matches pretty
good. |

|
A heat tent and heaters are used to work in
sub-freezing temperatures. |
What an attractive addition. |
