Pebble Dash stucco replaced
in Washington, DC
A few notes about this project :
Window replacement and other repairs made replacing the wall practical.
These corner beads are made for interior use and rot when used outside. These beads are a large source of our patch work. These beads are about 50 years old, but they still shouldn't be used outside.
Patch created by replacing door. We put on flashing over the door and tied in the metal lath.
Window taken out. Edge of patch is chopped out and metal lath overlapped around window. A jagged line around the patch makes the patch more inconspicuous.
A new window sill is angled at the top and has a drip groove in the bottom. Sill projects well past the stucco.
Pebble Dash Kings throw on the pebble mix.
You may have seen this a lot on my site. Drilling weep holes in the plaster stop.
Stop extends below the framing for a good drip edge.
A view of the project.
Pebble dash kings are rockin' with half inch pea gravel.
