The original ceilings were rock lath and plaster. We replaced them with veneer plaster board, veneer basecoat, and plaster.

Taking white mortar off the mortar board. White mortar is molding plaster and lime.
White coat is troweled smooth.
Patches from mold remediation are filled with molding plaster and lime.
A plaster arch is made in the old door opening.
Metal corner beads are set flush with the old wall.
Metal corner bead forms the arch.
Molding plaster and lime is used for same day completion.
