We used our bonding basecoat on the old finish coat. The finish was real cement that had never been painted. We used flex-con, and acrylic bonding admixture, in the mortar.

Q-Rok from US Silica.

For the finish coat, we used white portland cement and Q-Rok from US Silica. Our formula is half number one, or fine, and half number two, or medium.
