After the brown coat set up for a week the finish coat is applied.
The finish is applied in two coats. Here the scratch coat, or the first
finish coat, is troweled on and rubbed with a rubber float. |

Finish coat is a mix of white portland cement, lime, and Q-Rok. We
mixed no. 1 (fine) and no. 2 (medium) half and half. Q-rok is graded crushed
quartz (white sand) from U S Silica in West Virginia. |
