Scaffold is supported using our 2x4 roof
hooks
and chicken legs. Bet you have never seen a scaffold like this. Is it safe? Of course. |
Cramped for space, scaffold is built on top of the dumpster. |
There was some rot on the sheathing below the roof
intersection, caused
by the lack of a kickout
flashing, that keeps water from running behind the gutter. We replaced the rotted areas with plywood. We put on a new counter flashing and kick out flashing, so this wall should last 4,000 years or so, |
New flashing put over windows, and new metal lath applied over old wood lath. |
Finished wall, back to circa 1925 appearance, with
some improvements. The old lime and sand stucco is replaced with portland cement stucco on metal lath. New flashing assures wall should last and last. |
We left the ceiling, which is still in good shape
on the front. Everything is covered real good before dashing on the pebble mix, which splatters everywhere. |
