Stucco on spalled brick in Manassas, Virginia
Our drama unfolds here in Manassas. Foam finger points to this house we did across the street.
Finish, of course, is REAL color cement stucco.

We replaced the flashing under the siding.

Our typical chimney has a band for a drip edge and coins embedded in the top.

Stucco over cedar siding
The most important thing on cedar is to leave room for the trim
The corner board is one inch, so 3/4" stucco worked out. The rake board was 3/4" requiring a new piece of trim on top.
Weep screed at the bottom is sealed with tape.
Weep is overlapped with 2 layers of tar paper and lath.
Brown coat
Wall is straight, I promise.
Finish color is off white
Color is made using paint tint.
Re stucco in Reston, Virginia
1972 stucco is falling apart due to bad coping and flashing.
Paint and loose areas chipped and prepared for stucco.
New basecoat is straightened with a rod. Basecoat has a chemical bonding admixture.
New coping is made and put on after a natural white finish coat.

Black sand was seeded into the finish coat for a marble effect..
